How do I talk to my child about death?
Time & Location
Jun 30, 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM EDT
About the event
Death can be one of the most unbearable pains a human will experience. Loved ones are left to grieve no matter if death came suddenly or expected. Join Ricky 2 the Rescue, a transformational life coach to learn effective ways to help your child function during the grieving process. During the class, you will learn creative ways to communicate grief, trauma, and death to your child in developmentally appropriate ways. I can't say that you will walk away as a doctor or therapist, but you will feel confident in your ability to use strategies similar to play therapy, emotional intelligence, relaxation techniques, self-awareness, self-management, social-awareness, and self-soothing techniques. At 6-8 years old, children began to make contact with the larger world which include school and the community. It is very critical for children to learn appropriate ways to grieve during this critical part of cognitive development. So, what is the best way to tell your child that a loved one passed? Join us for the next class.
